Hi Cheryl,

Thank you for your email. We appreciate getting feedback from our customers. We have never been told that there are two Menorahs, and that there is a difference between a 7-branch and a 9-branch Menorah. Evidently the 9 branches are used to celebrate Hanukkah (Chanukah) and the 7 branches were used in the Temple. I will talk to Robin and perhaps we will add the 7-branch Menorah to our collection. If we do, you'll see it in the newsletter we send out each month to announce our new designs. BTW, I finally got around to entering all the cards, letters and emails we've gotten this year and some of my communications with you are there... http://www.rycraft.com/rycraft_cookie_stamp_customer_reviews_2019. I always enjoy hearing from you... and hope you are enjoying your ZIA stamp!
Thank you again!!
Best regards,
Carol Rycraft

As you may know, the stamp, #344 Menorah listed on your website

is actually a depiction of a Channakiah with the nine branches. It would be nice to have a stamp that represents the actual Menorah with seven branches.  Thank you for your consideration.

I noticed that the stamp #115 Windmill does not have the July sale

price listed when selecting it for purchase. Could that be updated

before the July sale ends? Thank you for any answer you can give.

Hi Karen,

I am so glad to hear that  you like our cookie stamps. If you let me know the city you live in, I can look to see if we have a retailer near you. Or you can order them direct from us, either online on our webiste, or just give us a call to place your order at 208 398 9156. We have over 400 designs in stock, while most retailers carry just a few of our most popular designs.

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I have only bought 1 stamp from you... to make pasta with actually. It was a very pretty cluster of grapes and I love it. But as I just opened this email and looked through your website more, I saw how strong your Christian faith is. I really admire you and am proud that you are keeping your faith although it isn't popular to do so. I am glad that I purchased from you and will be looking for another stamp soon.
God bless you and your families. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to fill out our Recipe Comment form to let us know about your 40-year history of baking cookies with our Melting Moments recipe. I will post your comments on the website on the same page as the recipe.
Question: When you make the cookies, do you use our cookie stamps to imprint a design on the cookies, or do you just use the recipe without using cookie stamps? Please let me know so I know how to post the comments. Thanks.

Hi.
So glad you're back in business.  Am looking thru the pages of
stamps by year, and noticed on 2008 page and the pages for the
individual stamps that there's some mixup about the "I love you" stamps
in Norwegian and Swedish.  think you would like to check and straighten it out.  Best wishes!

Hi Patte,

I just want to let you know the status of your order. Robin had to make the square birthday cake stamp (we don't keep square stamps in stock) and when it came out of the kiln this morning, it had a flaw, so he's going to make it over again for you. This time he'll make 2 just in case (smile). So it'll be a couple more days and then he can ship your order complete.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best regards,

4/13/19 Email - Bagpiper christened

Robin,

I was so ecstatic to have such a wonderful result from the first use of the MacD... Bagpiper [custom]cookie stamp that I have to share it with you.  We have our family Easter dinner tomorrow, so this was a fitting occasion to use it.  I can’t wait to share the cookies with the rest of the clan.
I spread the dough on a half sheet and stamp it.  Then I cut it into squares as soon as the pan comes out of the oven.  No one seems to mind that the cookies are square but the stamp is round.
He is risen.  He is risen indeed.

Hi Carol,
I wanted to share with you what I found at our local Goodwill today and was so excited, because I knew exactly what I had found :)  someone placed them inside of a shadow box and it has a screw on the back to remove glass if you want to use stamps.
I know some of the names of the patterns, but would you mind telling me what all of them are please.
Thanks so much and I feel truly blessed to have these added to my growing collection!

Hello Jeanette,

Thank you for your interest in our cookie stamps and our collector's book. The original book is available on this website: http://cookiestamp.com/product/rycraft-collectors-handbook/  There is no updated version, but the website has all the designs listed by year here:  http://www.rycraft.com/handbook. You can find a link to this page on the Page List on the left side on the website -- about half way down -- that says "Collector's Handbook". The copyright warning is for those who want to use our copyrighted material and designs in a product they will to sell to the public... that is prohibited unless we approve it in writing. But we have no problem if you want to copy our website pages for your own personal use.
Re: the rancid smell: that odor comes from not thoroughly cleaning the stamps with hot soapy water after use and before storing... it comes from the butter in the recipes. You can get rid of the smell by putting the stamps in a hot oven like 400º F for a half hour or so to burn out the rancid oils. The heat won't hurt the stamps. Then when you want to use them again, season them with veggie oil first to seal the clay before stamping the dough, and keep oiling the stamp to keep the dough from sticking. I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Carol Rycraft

I was looking on the Rycraft websight and noticed the collector's handbook placed there for viewing. I see the copyright on the bottom of the page and thought I would ask if I would have permission to copy that info listed on that websight, or is there a complete up to date (2018/19) book available I should be purchasing instead. Thank you for any information you can give. Also I am new to cookie stamping and have read that I should apply cooking oil to the stamp before use, but have also read some people have issues with it going rancid. Should I use mineral oil instead of vegetable oil? Thank you.

3/1/19 Reply

Hi Patricia,

I'm sorry for the disappointing results. Baking is so tricky, there is no one answer to some problems, and the designs melting away in the oven is one of them. You may have to try another recipe or perhaps bread flour that has more gluten to hold the design. What works one time with a recipe may not work another time with the same recipe. It's been a bit of a mystery to us since the flours and butters started changing in the late 90's. Please review this page: http://www.rycraft.com/recipes and I hope you can find a recipe that works well for you. Our customers' all-time favorite is this one: http://www.rycraft.com/*almond_butter_cookies.

I made a batch of shortbread cookies using the teapot and single shamrock stamps. I used Gold Medal unbleached flour (general purpose). I chilled the stamped unbaked cookies 230 minutes in the frig. The images are barely visiable after baking. Any suggestions?
